ARTICLE I:

GOD

This program enhances leadership skills for pastors over 40. It aims at assisting them in gaining insights into strategic decision-making, team building, vision casting, and adaptive leadership. 

ARTICLE II:

JESUS CHRIST

We believe that Jesus Christ is fully God and fully man, the second person of the Godhead. He was born of the Virgin Mary, died on the cross, rose from the dead on the third day, and ascended into heaven, where He is seated at the right hand of God. Jesus will return to take believers to heaven and judge the unrighteous. He is the mediator between God and man, and whoever believes in Him will have eternal life (John 3:16).

ARTICLE III:

Holy Spirit

We believe that the Holy Spirit is the third person in the Godhead. He is our helper and comforter. He also convicts us of our sins and reminds us of the saving work of Jesus Christ on the cross and the need to repent. He permanently indwells a believer upon receiving salvation and guides the believer through the heavenward journey. He gives gifts to believers in the Church for the edification of the Body of Christ.

ARTICLE IV:

Scripture

We believe in the inerrancy and infallibility of Scripture. All scripture is God-breathed and 2 Tim 3:16 is our boarding call. We believe God’s word in its entirety originated from Him and used men to write the 66 books of the Old Testament and New Testament.

ARTICLE V:

Salvation

We believe that humankind is totally deprived and alienated from fellowship with God and could no longer please Him. This fellowship was restored through a kaphar (atonement) that was freely given for the forgiveness of sin. The forgiveness of sin is not as a result of good works but comes only by faith.

ARTICLE VI:

The Christian Life

We believe under the guidance of the Holy Spirit, the believer enjoys fellowship with God when he/she accepts Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord. The pilgrimage to heaven is necessitated by obedience to God through His word and holy living. We believe we have been called to live and love one another and assist those who do not have especially those of the household of God.

ARTICLE VII:

Human Destiny

We believe in the consummation of all things. Eternity culminates in heaven for those who accepted Jesus as Savior and lived a righteous life and hell for those who refused to accept him and his saving grace. We believe that the judgement of God is just and perfect.

ARTICLE VIII:

The Church

We believe in ekklesia the universality of believers. The Church of Christ is composed of all living and the dead in Christ. We believe that Jesus Christ is the head of the Church and he oversees all its activities through the Holy Spirit (Col 1:18). The Churches exist to glorify Him therefore, we are called to work together and encourage each other because this world is not our home.

ARTICLE IX:

The Great Mission

We gladly accept the Great Commission of the risen Lord to make disciples of all nations, to seek those who do not know Christ, and to baptize, teach, and bring new believers to maturity.

ARTICLE X:

Church Ordinance

We believe that Jesus Christ taught the Church to observe the following ordinances for purposes of reminding the Church of the fellowship with him until he comes; The Lord’s Supper, Baptism by Immersion, Holy Matrimony (marriage between one man and one woman). These are the efficacious signs of God’s grace and obedience for those who love him.

ARTICLE XI:

Church Leaders

We recognize that God has called and gifted Apostles, prophets, Evangelists, Teachers Bishops, and Elders in historic succession to equip all the people of God for their ministry in the world. The order of authority should be upheld at all times so that we give way to mentorship and edify the Body of Christ.

ARTICLE XII:

Unity And Organization Structures

We believe in the unity and diversity of all Christians. The Bible teaches us to maintain the unity of the Body of Christ (Eph 4:3). We also believe in the unity of any organizational structures for administration.

ARTICLE XIII:

Environmental Justice And Social Care

We are mindful of our responsibility to be good stewards of God’s creation, to uphold and advocate justice in society, and to seek relief and empowerment of the less privileged in our community.

ARTICLE XIV:

Christian Charity

We believe that helping each other is biblical. We strive to make the Society, other Faith-Based Organizations, and the Body of Christ understand that unity in diversity is the strength against evil and therefore the need to practice Acts 2:42 – 47.
